Upseeding


Information about the up-seeding of some players.

According to the upseeding method used in this season's Riga Cup, Swedish Masters, Tallinn Cup and Czech Open - compared to the current ranking updated June 11 - these players should be upseeded:

》ECh 2024 Challenge (Level 4 warmup tournament), at the moment 3 players:

* Dmytro Kurdytsky (unranked) upseeded 38 positions in the tournament (seeded #24 instead of 62=last). Should count 2179 ranking points which gives him a ranking around #237.
* Vladimir Voronov should count 1886 points instead of 1767 RP (ranked ~#326 instead of 375). That means he is ahead of (not after) Toms Jakseboga who has 1827 ranking points. 
* Igor Zamiatin, upseeded 4 positions in the tournament (seeded #43 instead of 47). Should count 1083 ranking points (instead of 843) which gives him ranking #655 (instead of 771).

》Women, 1 player:

* Laima Kamzola, upseeded 1 position (should be seeded #6 in tournament instead of 7). Should count 2116 ranking points instead of 1735 which is equal to ranking #259 instead of 393.

This doesn't affect the Women teams ranking. 



》Veterans, 4-5 players:

* Dmytro Kudritsky, upseeded 12 positions (should be seeded #27 instead of 39=last).
Should count 2179 ranking points which gives him a ranking around #237 (currently unranked)
* Igor Zamiatin, upseeded 1 position in the tournament (seeded #36 instead of 37). Should count 1083 ranking points (instead of 843) which gives him ranking #655 (instead of 771).
* Mykhaylo Spivakovskyy, upseeded 3 positions (should be seeded #2 instead of 5). Should count 3192 ranking points (instead of 2980) which gives him ranking #60 instead of 77.
* Simon Thomas, upseeded 1 position (seeded #23 instead of 24). Should count 2414 ranking points (equal to WR #173) instead of current 2378 RP (#181).
* Frode Hagerup should count 2586 ranking points instead of 2521 RP. Doesn't affect his current seeding compared to the others in veterans.

None of the changes above affect veteran teams seeding. 

》Open, 8-9 players:

* Mykhaylo Spivakovskyy, upseeded 7 positions (should be seeded #44 instead of 51). Should count 3192 ranking points (instead of 2980) which gives him ranking #60 instead of 77.
* Anton Umanskyy, upseeded 1 position (should be seeded #45 instead of 46). Should count 3179 RP instead of 3071. Gives a ranking around #61 instead of 65.
* Janis Kalnevics, upseeded 19 positions (should be seeded #48 instead of 67). Should count 3079 RP instead of 2737. Gives a ranking around #65 instead of 115.
* Frode Hagerup, upseeded 1 position (should be seeded #78 instead of 79) Should count 2586 ranking points instead of 2521 RP. Ranking about #140 instead of 150.
* Simon Thomas, upseeded 1 position (seeded #83 instead of 84). Should count 2414 ranking points (equal to WR #173) instead of current 2378 RP (#181).
* Nico Lyksholm, upseeded 5 positions (seeded #101 instead of 106). Should count 1517 ranking points instead of 1198 RP. (WR ~#460 instead of #602)
* Igor Zamiatin, upseeded 1 position in the tournament (seeded #107 instead of 108). Should count 1083 ranking points (instead of 843) which gives him ranking #655 (instead of 771).
* Julius Steisunas, upseeded 1 position (seeded #109 instead of 110). Should count 685 ranking points instead of 620 RP which gives him ranking #858 (instead of 908).
* Vladimir Voronov should count 1886 ranking points instead of 1767 RP (ranked ~#326 instead of 375) but this doesn't affect his current seeding compared to the others in Open. 

None of the changes above affect Open teams seeding. 


》Super Veterans 55+ (2 players):

* Vladimir Voronov should count 1886 ranking points instead of 1767 RP (ranked ~#326 instead of 375) but this doesn't affect his seeding compared to the others in 55+.
* Janis Rektins should count 762 ranking points instead of 533 RP but this doesn't affect his current seeding compared to the others in 55+. 


》Juniors: no upseeding needed.
And not in juniors teams either. 


》Kids:
No upseeding needed.
